Meet the Simi Valley Team Behind Vance Gate Repair Simi Valley

Adrian Vance built this company in 2014 off commercial access-control work, and the crew he’s assembled in Simi Valley since then came from the same world. Welders, motor guys, wiring techs, and the person who makes sure you know who’s showing up and when. What unites them is simple: they document what they find, they price it in writing before turning a wrench, and they don’t leave until the gate runs the way it should. No exceptions. Most of our Simi Valley calls are for gates that another company touched first, which tells you how rare that discipline is.

Our People

Adrian Vance, Owner & Lead Technician

Adrian started on commercial access-control sites in 2014, where wiring diagrams and photo logs were not optional. That habit never left him. He’s the one who set the rule we still run by: every job gets a written price before work starts and a photographed record before the tech pulls out of the driveway. Adrian still takes repair calls most days of the week, mostly the ones where three other companies already said “replace it” and he’d rather spend twenty minutes finding the actual fault. He can diagnose a Viking board issue and weld a sagging steel gate frame in the same afternoon. On weekends he restores a 1972 Chevy C10, which is the same kind of stubborn optimism.

Marco G., Senior Installer

Marco has been setting gates in Simi Valley and the surrounding hills for fourteen years. If your driveway has a slope, a blind corner, or a tight setback that makes a standard install impossible, Marco has done worse. He holds manufacturer certifications on LiftMaster, FAAC, and BFT operators, and he’s the one we send when a cantilever gate needs to be squared on a pad that’s shifted in the heat. Marco keeps a torque wrench in his truck that he’s owned longer than some of our apprentices have been alive. He’ll tell you exactly how long the concrete needs to cure before the operator gets mounted, and he will not be talked into shortcutting it.

Dana R., Service Coordinator

Dana is the voice on the phone when you call at 6:00 a.m. or 11:30 p.m. and a live human answers. She’s been dispatching for field-service trades since 2016 and she knows the Simi Valley street map well enough to tell you whether your gate problem sounds like a capacitor, a limit switch, or a photo-eye before the truck even rolls. Dana is the reason every customer knows the technician’s name and gets a photo before arrival. She rides horses in her spare time, which is useful because she understands how bad a stuck gate is when you’ve got a trailer behind you.

Luis T., Apprentice Technician

Luis came to us from a welding program at a local trade school and has been on the truck for two years. He handles the parts bench, the harness rebuilding, and the unglamorous work of testing safety loops after every motor repair. Under Marco and Adrian, he’s working toward his own manufacturer certifications, and he’s already the fastest hand we’ve got on gear-rack alignment. Luis is the guy photographing the before-and-after on your limit switches. He’s also the only person on the crew who can back a trailer down a switchback without touching the brake a second time.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

When you call Vance Gate Repair Simi Valley, the person who answers is a person. The technician who arrives is background-checked, in uniform, and will have already told you their name. Before any work begins, you get a written price. Before we leave, you get a photo log: what we found, what we adjusted, what we installed, and the part number on the new component. This is the Haven Standard, Clause 1 and Clause 4, applied to every job whether it’s a sagging residential swing gate or a commercial operator that runs fifty cycles a day. And if the repair isn’t right within 365 days, we fix it again at no charge. That’s not a marketing promise. That’s the paperwork we’ve been leaving with Simi Valley customers since 2014. Call (805) 516-0479 and you’ll see what we mean.
